A scene, extrapolated from my imagination, of two faithful women who followed those carrying Christ’s body from the cross, doing what they can to prepare his body for burial before having the seal it in a tomb. Washing the body is part of that ritual. The women will be back in three days, after the Jewish sabbath, to finish the task.
