In 2014 I began a series of paintings related to the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I continue to add to the series today.

  • In the Garden shows Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane
  • Comforted shows an angel strengthening Christ during the Atonement.
  • The Flogging: Sure Hope details Christ’s knowledge of God’s love and its strengthening power as He endured a near-fatal scourging.
  • Lifting the Savior’s Burden shows Simon of Cyrene lifting the crosspiece of the cross from the collapsed Christ, the only person we. know of (besides The Savior’s parents) who physically took on His burdens.
  • Weep Not shows Christ warning the women wailing Him on the way to the cross.
  • Loving Your Enemies shows a small portion of what He went through for us.
  • On the Cross and For You show the Savior submitting to mankind’s most painful form of death.
  • Washing the Savior’s Feet illustrates the women preparing The Savior’s body for burial, which highlights the only people to wash His feet, recalling the ordinance He performed on His disciples.
  • Nicodemus and I Have Seen My Lord show some of the impact on His followers.
  • Triumphant shows the resurrected Lord rightfully reveling in his complete victory.
