Okay, okay, I am gushing, here. I’ve been working on this trilogy for two years and am so excited to see it come together. I thank my beautiful wife for her patient, enduring support.
The following scenes from the opening of Book 2 depict Adam and Eve’s joining in the Garden of Eden by their heavenly parents. I am pleased with how it came together and welcome any comments.

The transition from sleep to awareness was not a sudden jolt, but a gentle lifting of a veil. Adam opened his eyes to a world washed in the soft, golden hues of early morning. The air was cool and carried the scent of crushed mint, wet earth, and sweet jasmine. He lay on a bed of thick, velvet moss, the ground beneath him breathing with a rhythmic, comforting warmth.
As his vision cleared, he realized he was not alone.
Surrounded by a quiet congregation of beasts, Adam felt no fear, only a profound sense of shared existence. A great lion with a mane like spun gold lay just inches away, its massive chin resting peacefully on its paws, its golden eyes fixed on Adam with a calm, cat-like curiosity. Beside the lion, a snow-white lamb nudged against its flank. A pair of elegant giraffes peered down through the high canopy, their long necks weaving gracefully among the broad leaves, while a colorful array of birds—sapphire blue, emerald green, and blazing scarlet—perched quietly on the low-hanging branches above.
But it was not the animals that held his gaze.
Standing just a few feet away, framed by the dappled sunlight breaking through the ancient trees, was a creature like himself, yet breathtakingly different.
She was a woman of exquisite, radiant beauty. Her dark, wavy hair fell in loose cascades over her shoulders, adorned with a few stray petals of wild orange blossoms. Her skin looked as soft as the morning mist, and her form possessed a grace that seemed to harmonize perfectly with the surrounding paradise.
Adam sat up slowly, the movement causing the lion to let out a low, contented purr. The woman did not step back. Instead, she tilted her head, her large, expressive eyes wide with a mixture of wonder, curiosity, and an innate, childlike innocence. She looked at his hands, then at his face, mapping the contours of his existence with her gaze just as he was mapping hers.
For several minutes, neither of them moved. The universe seemed to hold its breath around them. There was no shame in their nakedness, no hidden thoughts, no complex desires. They were two mirrors reflecting the same pristine purity of a brand-new creation. In her eyes, Adam saw no malice, no sorrow, and no history—only a deep, clear well of untainted joy. He felt an instinctive, powerful recognition tugging at his chest. She was a part of him, a missing melody suddenly restored to the song of his life.
A soft breeze swept through the clearing, rustling the ferns and carrying a flurry of pink blossoms past her face. She blinked, a bright, musical laugh escaping her lips—a sound so pure it made the nearby birds burst into a brief, joyful chorus.
Adam felt a warmth bloom in his throat. The language of the heavens, intuitive and unlearned, stirred within his mind. He looked deeply into her eyes, leaning forward slightly.
“Eve,” he whispered.
The name left his lips like a sacred breath, a declaration of life itself.
Accepting her name, the woman’s smile widened, illuminating her entire countenance. She took a step closer, her bare feet pressing softly into the moss. She extended a hand toward him. Her fingers were long and delicate, glowing with the same vibrant life force that coursed through his own veins.
Adam reached up and took her hand. The touch was an electric spark of pure connection, a binding of two souls. With a gentle but assured strength, Eve pulled him upward, guiding him to his feet. He swayed slightly as his weight shifted, but she steadied him, her touch a reassuring anchor.
Hand in hand, their fingers intertwined, they turned their attention to the world around them. With the unbridled curiosity of children, they began to explore the garden.
They walked along a path lined with towering trees that bore fruit of every shape and color. Eve reached out, plucking a ripe, golden pear from a low branch. She broke it open with her fingers, pressing a piece into Adam’s hand. He tasted it, his eyes widening at the burst of sweet, honeyed nectar, and they laughed together, wiping the sticky juice on the large leaves of a nearby fern.
They discovered a crystalline river that wound its way through the valley, its water so clear they could see the smooth, multicolored pebbles lining the bottom. Adam knelt, cupping the water in his hands to drink, while Eve dipped her feet into the current, splashing playfully as a school of silver fish darted around her ankles. Every flower they passed, every strange new insect that buzzed by on iridescent wings, was a source of marvel. They communicated without a need for endless words, sharing their delight through bright glances, pointed fingers, and a shared, profound awe of their home.
As the sun reached its highest point in the sky, casting a brilliant, warm glow over the entire garden, a sudden, reverent stillness fell over the landscape. The playful chattering of the monkeys in the trees ceased. The river seemed to quiet its rushing roar to a gentle murmur.
The air grew thick with a holy, majestic light that transcended the brilliance of the sun.
From the center of a beautiful grove of blossoming almond trees, three glorious Beings manifested. They moved with an effortless majesty, enveloped in a radiance that filled the entire space with an overwhelming sense of love, power, and eternal peace.
Heavenly Father stood in unparalleled authority, His eyes holding the wisdom of eternity. Beside Him was Heavenly Mother, Her countenance reflecting the absolute perfection of grace, tenderness, and divine maternity. Beside Her stood Jehovah, the Savior, His hands extended in a gesture of profound blessing, His smile radiating a warmth that instantly banished any lingering unfamiliarity.
Adam and Eve dropped to their knees instinctively, not out of fear, but out of a deep, overflowing reverence. They held tightly to each other’s hands, their hearts beating in unison before their Creators.
Heavenly Father stepped forward, His voice like the beautiful resonance of a mighty ocean, yet perfectly gentle. “Rise, My children,” He commanded softly.
They stood up, leaning into each other as the Divine Parents approached. Heavenly Mother reached out, Her hands touching Eve’s cheek and then Adam’s shoulder, infusing them both with a physical sensation of pure, unconditional love.
Jehovah then stepped between the young couple, taking Adam’s right hand and placing it firmly into Eve’s right hand.
“Adam,” Jehovah spoke, His voice echoing with eternal weight. “You have been formed from the dust of this earth, brought to life by the breath of the Almighty. Eve, you have been formed from the side of Adam. Together, you are the crowning glory of this creation.”
Heavenly Father raised His hands above their heads, and a brilliant, golden light descended from the heavens, wrapping around the couple like a warm cloak.
“By the authority of the everlasting priesthood, and in the presence of the heavens,” the Father declared, “I pronounce you husband and wife. I bind you together for time and for all eternity. What God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.”
A profound sense of sealing washed over Adam and Eve. It was a covenant woven into the very fabric of their spirits, an eternal promise that they would never walk alone, that their destinies were forever linked.
Heavenly Mother smiled, Her eyes shining with divine joy. “Go forth together, Our beautiful children. Learn of this world, tend to the garden, and love one another.”
As Jehovah held their joined right hands, Heavenly Father stepped forward, His voice taking on a tone of profound, foundational solemnity that echoed into the very bedrock of the garden. The ambient light softened, focusing into a warm, concentrated glow that enveloped the young couple like a sanctuary.
“Adam, Eve,” Father spoke, His gaze holding theirs with a weight that was both piercing and infinitely tender. “The covenant you enter into this day is not a mere arrangement of convenience, nor is it a temporary partnership of the flesh. It is the most sacred ordinance of eternity, a divine order established before the foundations of this world were laid. It must be contemplated with the deepest reverence of your souls and entered into with an unwavering solemnity. You are binding your spirits in a tapestry that is intended to outlast the Sun, the Moon, and the very stars above.”
Heavenly Mother stepped beside them, Her eyes shining with a deep, experiential wisdom. She reached out, placing Her hands over theirs. “To walk this path requires absolute faithfulness,” She murmured, Her voice a sweet, resonant chord of maternal truth. “You must care for one another with a fierce, protective devotion that brooks no division. In the mortal world that awaits, you will encounter seasons of joy and seasons of testing. Let your hearts be an impenetrable fortress for one another. Mutual care, deep empathy, and an unyielding loyalty must be the air you breathe.”
Father nodded, His countenance radiating the perfect pattern of divine authority exercised in love. He looked directly at the first man.
“Adam, as the husband in this holy order, your role is one of sacrificial devotion,” Father decreed. “You are to preside over this family in love, humility, and unfeigned righteousness, mirroring the gentleness of the Son. It is your sacred charge to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of your household. You shall till the earth to sustain them, and you shall lift your voice to the heavens to guard them. You are to be a shield, a teacher, and a fountain of spiritual strength, never ruling in tyranny, but always leading by the light of truth.”
Mother then turned Her radiant smile toward the first woman, Her voice filled with an empowering grace.
“Eve, my beautiful daughter, you are given a calling of matching majesty,” the Mother declared. “As the mother of this covenant, you are blessed with the divine nature to nurture, to give life, and to cultivate the spirit of love within the home. You do not walk behind Adam, nor do you walk above him; you stand beside him as an equal partner in all things. Your wisdom, your intuition, and your nurturing strength are the vital mortar that will hold this family together. Through your grace, the home will become a sanctuary of peace.”
Jehovah looked upon them both, His hands still resting over their clasped fingers, sealing the instructions with His divine approval.
“Together, as one flesh and one spirit,” Jehovah spoke, His voice swelling with a joyful anticipation for the future, “your primary, unified focus must be directed toward the souls entrusted to your care. You are to raise righteous children in the warmth of absolute love. You shall teach them of their divine heritage, guide their steps in the paths of truth, and prepare them to return to the presence of their Creators. In this shared purpose, you will find the ultimate fulfillment of your divine potential.”
With a final, lingering blessing of light, the three heavenly Beings slowly faded from view, leaving behind a fragrance of celestial sweetness and a lingering warmth that filled the entire grove.
Adam and Eve stood together in the quiet aftermath of the divine visitation, pondering. The gravity of what had just occurred washed over them in waves of peaceful assurance. There was no rush, no pressure, and no anxiety. Eternity lay ahead of them.
Eve looked up at Adam, her eyes reflecting the endless blue of the sky. She gave his hand a gentle tug, pointing toward a distant, mist-shrouded hill where a family of deer was leaping gracefully through the tall grass.
Adam smiled, the childlike wonder returning to his eyes. Hand in hand, the eternal husband and wife stepped out of the grove, eager to continue their journey of discovery in the pristine, beautiful expanses of the Garden of Eden.
