This is my first real digital tablet drawing. I am impressed with the potential. Previously, I had rejected the iPad as a sketching tool because I was using tools that didn’t take advantage of the digital options (like my finger :-). But this is refreshing and promising.
I used an Apple Pencil on an iPad with Procreate. Although the tablet surface is much slicker than paper, with a little adjusting the toolset mimicked traditional media rather successfully.
I spent about 15 minutes experimenting with angle, pressure, and several different textures before coming up with this. Although I consider the Apple Pencil to be rather clunky, I will be doing more.
