Three wise men from the East, or “magi”, heralded in song as “kings of Orient”, follow the prophesied star pointing them to Jerusalem and then to the birthplace of The Savior. They must have been not only wise, dedicated, respected and learned but also holy in their dedication to worshipping The Lord.
Their faith was complete enough to sacrifice for the trip but also to bring the baby precious gifts, inspired in their timeliness to help The Lord’s family flee to Egypt.
As I was creating this, I considered titling it Four Kings, as the fourth is the King these three worship. But, yeah, too confusing…
From Luke chapter 2.
