Seeking the One

This painting is a companion to my painting Found, which I completed in 2025. Wonderfully, it sold before I got it off the easel.
The patron said, “I absolutely absolutely love it. I feel like it was meant. You sent [the preview] and I thought, that’s my painting.”
The concepts between the two are similar, in that even the simplest person has a divine mission to seek and help others. As we do, heavenly helps assist us as we seek to find our own shepherd, our ultimate Helper.
This painting represents some strong challenges for me. I struggled with the blending in particular, especially along her cheek and in some of the detail areas. Very frustrating at time, and it took me much longer than I would’ve expected. But I am good with how it turned out. Grateful for the positive reaction all during its creation.
